Life Itself uses Playjacent™ to describe its signature event format: an extraordinary variety of ways to Play brought together under one roof. The practical proposition is to make experiences that ordinarily happen in different venues, scenes or evenings available within the same event.

The phrase traditional sex party is less precise. Organizers use different formats, and there is no single program or consent procedure that applies to every event carrying that description. The useful comparison is therefore between actual offerings and expectations, rather than an assumption that every other party works the same way.

Variety is part of the format

A Playjacent™ program can include DJs, live music, performances, games, conversation prompts, Play Shops™, workshops, body painting, art, vendors and participatory activities. These are possibilities within the format, not a promise that every production includes every activity. The event listing establishes what is confirmed.

Variety changes the decisions available to a guest. Someone can arrive interested in a performance and discover a game, a conversation or an activity they had not planned to try. Another person can follow a completely different route through the same event. Participation does not need to begin with membership in a particular scene.

Public intimacy is explicit and optional

Every Playjacent™ event includes designated, regulated spaces for public intimacy. Life Itself treats sexual Play as one of the ways consenting adults can connect. Guests are never required to enter those spaces, and attendance does not establish consent to a particular activity.

Doorientation™ introduces the event and its expectations. Guests interested in Play Spaces first complete The Vibe Check™ with a Regulator. Trained Regulators provide monitoring and guest support, while consent remains necessary throughout. VIPlay™ is a separate premium admission and experience offering with benefits that vary by event.
